The recently created Abraham Zacut Library (March 2001) is the Library of Technical Sciences. It was created with the goal of continuing the creation of the so-called “area libraries”, a process which was initiated with the creation of the Library of Legal-Social Sciences and will continue with the libraries of Humanities and Bio-sanitation Sciences.
The Technical Sciences Libraries are comprised of the Faculty of Sciences and Chemical Sciences, the Superior Technical School of Industrial Engineering in Béjar, and the Superior Polytechnical School of Zamora. The geographical distance that separates the three sites impedes a physical centralization of the various collections.
The Abraham Zacut Library gathers the bibliographic material from the former libraries of Science and Chemical Science (located in the Faculty of Sciences), Physical Sciences (located in the Trinligüe building) and Exact Sciences (located in the Mathematics building). It addressed the investigative needs of the following degree programs: Statistics, Computer Science Engineering, Geological Engineering, Technical Engineer in Computer Science Systems, Physics, Geology, Mathematics, Chemical Engineering and Chemistry.
The Library has four floors and is set up as follows:
The regular schedule for the Library is Monday - Friday 8:30 - 21:00; Saturday 9:00 - 13:00.
During exam periods, the schedule is extended to Monday - Friday 8:30 - 23:00; Saturday, Sunday and holidays 9:00 - 21:00.
The circulating collection consists of documented materials that the Library makes available to its users. These include:

Additionally there are electronic resources (database, electronic journals) which can be accessed from the Library Services web page (http://sabus.usal.es/).
